Pearson looks to iPad for expansion plans
Posted: 2nd March 2010
The learning and leisure 'apps' for the iPad, 2010's biggest technology release, will build on Pearson's push into digital and online education.
The group yesterday reported strong 2009 results, with pre-tax profits climbing 13 per cent to £761m.
The ongoing transformation of Pearson comes as circulation of the print version of the FT continues to fall along with advertising revenues, and as Penguin, the iconic paperback publisher, faces stiff competition from the rise of e-readers.
