Another year; another big issue to discuss

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

For the third consecutive year BookMachine and Unite the Union will be joining up to offer forward-thinking publishing people the opportunity to discuss, debate and prepare for change.

The aim of the evening on 19th July, which will be held at the historic St Bride Foundation, is to examine how to manage change. There are two types of change – those that are thrust upon us, leaving us no choice, and those that we make by choice, intentionally. Both types can happen at anytime.

To kick-start the evening Richard Charkin (Executive Director of Bloomsbury Publishing, Non-Executive Director of Institute of Physics Publishing and of Liverpool University Press, President of The Book Society) will be giving a keynote talk.

The panel discussion which follows will be led by Jacks Thomas (Director, The London Book Fair) Hazel Cushion (founder and Managing Director, Accent Press), Tony Burke (Assistant General Secretary at Unite the Union) and John Pettigrew (Founder, We are Futureproofs).

All the speakers have either led change initiatives, been on the receiving end of change or supported workers impacted by external change. They have experience, insight and foresight; and they will inspire you to think differently about change.

Tickets include access to the talks plus food and drink: https://bookmachine.org/event/united-publish-iii-consent-coercion-shape-fate-age-change/
