Readly, the digital magazine newsstand, has just won the prestigious “Best Consumer App” at the Appsters Awards made at Apps World London 2016.

Apps World is Europe’s largest gathering of developers, mobile and marketing professionals – 8,000 attendees from over 80 countries.  At the event, the Appsters Awards recognise the best and most innovative apps in the industry from a list of over 80 products from the UK and overseas.  Readly beat off a strong challenge from high profile apps produced by companies such as Easy Jet, Baagloo and Zolt.  The judging panel, which reads like a who’s who of the tech world, chose Readly because it was “life-changing value-add” and is having a real impact on how people read magazines.

Key elements of the Readly service impressed the judges:  CHOICE & VALUE-FOR-MONEY – the £7.99 per month all-you-can-read subscription delivers a range of over 1,600 digital magazines –   EASE OF NAVIGATION and Readly’s ongoing programme of UX ENHANCEMENTS.

Ranj Begley, Readly UK’s Managing Director, said: We’re really thrilled to have won this award.  From doing our “day job,” we already know that both consumers and publishers value Readly.  Yet it is really gratifying for our peers in the app world to see what we are doing and to rate it as highly as they have done.  The award recognises what we are doing as a company.  Yet we are also flying the flag for the whole magazine industry, which is changing fast and responding to shifting consumer reading patterns that are becoming increasingly digital.  The success of the Readly app is tangible evidence of that.”
